Music shows hosted by student DJs at Solano State Prison. Uncuffed DJs choose an hour of their favorite music and reveal how those songs relate to their lives.

IMPACT

Uncuffed has offered groundbreaking radio training inside prisons for over a decade. Our participants develop tools to change the narrative about people in prison and to gain job skills.

We’ve worked with over 80 participants, and aired over 140 of their stories and shows. To our knowledge, we have a 0% recidivism rate. No Uncuffed participant has ever returned to prison.

Uncuffed alumni include professional podcasters, documentary filmmakers, and many others who have gone on to careers in media, communications, and advocacy.

SUPPORT UNCUFFED

Join us in creating the next chapter of Uncuffed. We’re bringing our training program to incarcerated women for the first time. And we’re creating more job opportunities for Uncuffed graduates.
